Biology

The biology department carries out research on various aspects of mosquito control and associated impacts to the participating municipalities. Research may be directly applicable to control measures or may look into environmental associations that may be impacted by mosquito activity. The biology department acts as a bridge between the other departments (Surveillance, Operations, and Wetlands Management).

The objectives are accomplished through projects designed to address a particular question or set of questions. The biologist and /or research assistants collect and analyze the relevant data and report on the findings.
