Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis) Swath tests

The District participated in swath tests on the salt marsh to determine an ideal larvicide to water spray ratio and a maximum spray swath. The results suggested the District could increase the amount of material carried in the helicopter during salt marsh larviciding events and that the swath width was increased. This resulted in an average of 31% - 38% fewer flights required to treat the salt marsh at a savings of up to 49% of overall costs for the program.
